The goals Bayern still have in the league following their title win As of the last matchday, it’s official: FC Bayern are the 2026 Bundeliga champions ! Despite clinching the title early, the league campaign is of course not yet over for the Munich men – and there are even a few records still up for grabs. If Vincent Kompany ’s side win their last four matches of the season, it'll wrap up the best Bundesliga season in the club's history: FCB finished the 2012/13 season under coach Jupp Heynckes with 91 points and a goal difference of +80.

The current Bayern side would then also finish on 91 points but would top that record thanks to a superior goal difference (already +80). Read on to find out what other facts and stats are of interest ahead of the match at Mainz: There’s nothing quite like a trip away – especially for Vincent Kompany’s side. Bayern are unbeaten in 24 league games on the road stretching back to last season (18 wins, four draws).

Only between 1985 and 1987 (26 games) and between 2012 and 2014 (33) did the Munich men enjoy longer winning runs away from home in this competition. However, the record champions suffered their last defeat on the road in Mainz of all places: on the day of the match, exactly 497 days will have passed since the 2-1 loss to FSV on 14 December 2024 and, from Bayern’s perspective, it must under no circumstances be repeated. Bayern are on course to set a new record for away goals this season: the old and newly crowned German champions have already equalled the league record of 49 away goals set in the 2021/22 season, having played 15 away matches so far.

In their remaining fixtures against Mainz 05 and VfL Wolfsburg, FC Bayern could become the first team to break the 50-away-goals mark in a single season. Never give up! Even when Bayern go behind, they don’t let it knock them off course.
