America's oldest track and field competition runs Thursday-Saturday in Philadelphia.
The Penn Relays, the United Statesโ largest โ and oldest โ track and field competition starts Thursday. The event has been held at the University of Pennsylvania's Franklin Field in Philadelphia since 1895. As many as 20,000 athletes from the professional ranks, college, the Special Olympics and high school are scheduled to compete.
More than 100,000 fans are expected to attend. The 2026 Penn Relays schedule starts Thursday with several college track events. The competition ends Saturday.
