The Colts need to nuke the draft and get some ready-made talent.

This is a franchise that feels it can win now. Whether you agree, bringing back Daniel Jones and Alec Pierce shows they feel last year’s meltdown was more of a supernatural disaster than a foreboding omen. That is why this team needs an infusion in this year’s draft.

It needs to hit hard and immediately. The Colts need some microwave ready rookies. Chris Ballard loves players with high RAS but that can mean raw talent.

If the personnel is in the building to develop that talent, sometimes it makes sense to pull the trigger on a high upside player. Take the risk and see what you have. Those moments have passed for Ballard, however.
