One of the things New Jersey Devils fans are rooting for is a Minnesota Wild first-round exit. Why? Because some are still holding onto hope that the Devils could reel in the eldest Hughes brother if he’s hesitant to commit to his new team.

When the calendar strikes July 1st, Hughes has one year left on his contract. So whether it’s in a deal this summer or via free agency next offseason, the less Minnesota succeeds, the more likely it is that Quinn won’t commit. Personally, I see Quinn staying in Minnesota.
