The oldest and largest track and field competition in the country returns to Philadelphia this week — get ready for the 2026 Penn Relays.

Originally known as the "Penn Relay Carnival", the Penn Relays have been held on the the University of Pennsylvania campus since 1895. The event features top athletes from middle schools, high schools and colleges across the United States, plus Open, Masters and Special Olympics races. Many interesting storylines will be taking place on the collegiate level in this year's event.

Washington stunned the opposition last year in the men's 4xMile, and they'll be back to defend that title. Virginia's women will be looking to do the same in the distance medley mile, with which they made history in 2025. You won't want to miss this.
