The James Madison transfer made his visit to Lexington yesterday, and by all accounts, the visit has gone well and Kentucky is in a good spot with his recruitment. The 6’7, 240 lb forward really broke out last year at James Madison, averaging 15. 3 points and 5.
6 rebounds per game for the Dukes. One of the biggest areas McBride saw improvement was with his three-point percentage, shooting 40 percent from deep last season on about 3 attempts per game. That shooting ability would be a welcome addition for this Kentucky roster.
While Kentucky is seemingly in a good spot with McBride’s recruitment, one thing we’ve learned is that a recruitment isn’t locked up until it’s official. Let’s see if Kentucky can lock McBride in. Today also kicks off the NFL Draft, with this year’s draft taking place in Pittsburgh.
