Lingard famously scored the winner at Wembley in the 2016 FA Cup final against Crystal Palace, and also found the net in the Community Shield final and League Cup final in 2017. The attacking midfielder fell out of favour under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer before leaving for West Ham United on loan, and later joining Nottingham Forest permanently in 2022. He left as a free agent in 2023, then joined South Korean side FC Seoul in 2024, spending two seasons at the K-League club.
Lingard took the next step in his career earlier this year when he joined Brazilian side Corinthians . Manchester United’s Brazilian star Casemiro has already spoken about how positive it is for the Brazilian league to attract a household name like Lingard.
