It sure makes it seem like the New England Patriots are ready to potentially trade their talented wide receiver amid their pursuit of A. J. Brown.
If the Pats did end up with Brown to pair with Romeo Doubs, it's fair that Boutte would've been a bit of a surplus choice on the depth chart. Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer explained in a new article on Wednesday how Boutte could factor into trades during the draft. "Some veteran names could be moved over the next couple of days, and one to watch is Patriots wide receiver Kayshon Boutte, whoโs shown promise through three years, with 76 catches for 1,140 yards and nine touchdowns in 29 games over the past two years," Breer writes.
"New Englandโs looking for a Day 3 pick for the 23-year-old, who is entering a contract year. " A "day 3 pick" means anywhere from the fourth round to the seventh round.
