Josip Stanišić takes pride in Bayern Munich hardly allowing Bayer Leverkusen any chances

FC Bayern’s Stanišić has reached the final for only the second time after his stint at Leverkusen.

This is a monumental occasion for the club, who have certainly been bothered by the way the trophy has evaded them for this long. Last-minute defeats, shocking losses to lower-division clubs, you name it, Bayern have seen it all. This time around, however, Bayern managed to win against a side like Bayer Leverkusen, and with a decent margin — 2-0.

Josip Stanišić conveys the team’s excitement in the win, and in being in the final. Stanišić was a former Leverkusen loanee who won the German double — the DFB-Pokal and the Bundesliga in 2023/24. “We’re pleased that we won the game – deservedly in the end,” he said, per the club’s official website .

“We played very well in the first half. We could’ve scored one or two more goals. In the second half it was an open game, although we hardly allowed them any chances.
