UCLA's 2027 recruitment class ranked 19th in the nation
It's been a long time since UCLA has had a top-20 recruiting class but that's where the Bruins' 2027 recruiting class is ranked currently.
What a difference a year can make. Since taking over as the UCLA Bruins head coach in December, Bob Chesney has already transformed UCLA’s recruiting reputation in Southern California. It’s been too long since UCLA were major players in their own area, with top players either opting to leave the Los Angeles area or even worse, decide to join the rival USC Trojans.
Chesney and the Bruins landed another four star recruit in Khalil Terry on Tuesday . Terry was set to join Notre Dame but was convinced to stay local and join a very compelling 2027 recruiting class for UCLA. 247 Sports had UCLA’s 2025 recruiting class ranked No.
12 in the Big Ten , the 2026 recruiting class at No. 15 in the conference but the 2027 recruiting class, the first full class under Chesney, currently sits at No. 8.
Chesney and the Bruins likely aren’t satisfied with the No. 8 spot but it’s a major step in the right direction. It’s also worth remembering that the Big Ten is thriving right now on the football field, so it’s a bit more understandable that recent national champions and consistent CFP teams are still ahead of the Bruins.
