Liverpool offered blockbuster deal for Real Madrid star Vinicius Jr

Liverpool offered blockbuster deal for Real Madrid star Vinicius Jr Liverpool have almost certainly been offered a deal to sign Vinicius Jr. The Brazilian is on the hunt for something new. Journalist Romain Molina claims Vinicius Jr has been offered to major clubs around Europe by intermediaries.

There's a key detail here, though: absolutely everyone said no. Liverpool are almost certainly one of the club who have been offered Vinicius, given they're one of only a handful who could actually pay for him. Not to mention the fact they never replaced Luis Diaz and are legitimately in need of a winger.

But it won't be Vinicius. There are a few reasons for that but none greater than this not being a sensible deal. The Brazilian would only move for a massive fee, while he'll also want enormous wages.

There's a reason he might leave Real Madrid, after all - they won't pay the wages he's after. There is a huge disconnect between what Vinicius is after as a contract and what he actually offers on the pitch. We're talking about someone who is primarily a goalscorer but has 12 La Liga goals this season and just 11 last season.

Only once has he managed beyond 15 (17 in 2022). So while there's little doubt that Vinicius would be a superb addition for nearly every team, he wouldn't be at the price it would take. And that's before you accept the reality that him being 'offered' to clubs is almost certainly a tactic to put pressure on Real Madrid in their contract negotiations.
