San Antonio Spurs superstar center Victor Wembanyama's status for Game 3 against the Portland Trail Blazers remains unclear due to a concussion he suffered on Tuesday.

ESPN's Shams Charania shared on his recent appearance on NBA Today that Wembanyama reported to the Spurs facility on Wednesday and is hopeful that he travels with the team for their next two road games. "Victor Wembanyama did report to the Spurs facility this morning, and his status is uncertain for Game 3," Charania said. "I am told that Victor Wembanyama is hopeful to travel with the team on Thursday to Portland, but he and the team won't know for sure until then.

Right now, he is in the concussion protocol, and that means he cannot participate in unrestricted activities for at least 48 hours, which would be Thursday night. " Charania continued by saying that Wembanyama could do some gradual light work if his symptoms improve. According to the NBA and its concussion protocol, they state, "If a player is diagnosed with a concussion, he cannot return to participation: (a) for at least 48 hours after the time of injury; and (b) until after he completes the required return-to-participation process.

" Victor Wembanyama, Spurs Faces Uncertainty Heading Into Game 3 Wembanyama suffered a brutal fall where he landed headfirst while driving to the basket in the second quarter. He was on the floor for a minute before he returned to the locker room. The 22-year-old superstar was ultimately ruled out for the rest of the game.
