Per Giolito’s contract, the Padres will have to add him to their MLB roster 25 days from now, according to Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union-Tribune .
Giolito’s Stint With the Angels Was Short-Lived The 2023 season was a hectic one for Giolito, who pitched for three different organizations throughout the season. He made starts for Angels, Chicago White Sox and Cleveland Guardians. He started his 2023 campaign with the White Sox, which was the organization he had spent six of his first seven MLB seasons.
Chicago traded Giolito along with right-hander Reynaldo López to the Angels at the trade deadline for catcher Edgar Quero and left-hander Ky Bush. Giolito did not stay with the Angels very long. He made six starts where he posted a 6.
