After three seasons, Kingsville head football coach/athletic director Ruben Garcia announced his resignation. He was 18-14 with two playoff berths.

After three seasons leading Kingsville, Ruben Garcia has resigned has head football coach and athletic director of the Brahmas, effective at the end of June. Garcia went 18-14 with two playoff appearances , including a shared district title in 2024, while leading the Brahmas. The 2024 campaign, that saw Kingsville win eight games, was the first winning season in seven years at the school and marked the most wins in a single season in the program since 2013.

In six years, including three at Falfurrias, Garcia has a career mark of 26-35 and three postseason berths. Garcia, 39, has also spent time as an assistant at Miller and Crosby. Kingsville has been aligned in District 16-4A Division II for the next two seasons, an eight-team district including London, Ingleside, La Feria, Port Isabel, La Grulla, Robstown and Rockport-Fulton.
