WR Makai Lemon talks Steelers visit ahead of 2026 NFL Draft

Yahoo Sports

The Steelers held a Top-30 visit ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft with USC star wide receiver Makai Lemon.

One of the final Top-30 visits for the Pittsburgh Steelers ahead of the 2026 NFL Draft was former USC wide receiver Makai Lemon. Lemon has a case to be the No. 2 receiver off the board in the draft on Thursday night and so we were somewhat surprised when the Steelers had him in, given they have the No.

21 overall pick. Lemon spoke positively about the visit but certainly didn't sound like a player who would be excited about coming to a team with two starting wide receivers in place and no starting quarterback. Lemon probably isn't terribly excited about his draft stock if he fell all the way to the 21st overall pick.

In terms of draft need, wide receiver is right near the top, just behind a starting left guard and a starting offensive tackle for us. Obviously, if Lemon somehow slides to 21, he would likely represent the best player on the board and he would be the smart pick. The Steelers have done their work this offseason scouting the top wide receivers and offensive linemen, so we expect one of those positions to be the pick.
