Nelson and King sign new Cornish Pirates contracts
Cornish Pirates forwards Morgan Nelson and Josh king sign deals to stay with the club for the 2026-27 Champ season.

Nelson, 26, rejoined the club last year after moving to Prem side Gloucester in October 2024 . In his two spells at Pirates he has made 69 appearances, scoring 39 tries.
"[Nelson] brings a wealth of Championship experience and his time in the Prem with Gloucester has added another layer to his game," joint-head coach Alan Paver told the club website. "His leadership, both on and off the field, has been a major factor for us this season and we see him as a key part of the future at the Pirates. " King, 24, has scored 10 tries in 71 appearances since move to the Mennaye in the summer of 2023.
"He's been a big part of what we do, especially in the set piece where he is developing as a lineout caller," paver said. "He leads from the front and brings a real hard edge to the team and is a key cog in what we're doing here. " Morgan and King are the latest players to agree new deals with the side this week after Angus Mawson and Arwel Robson committed themselves to the club.
