Dodgers Spoil Yet Another Yoshinobu Yamamoto Quality Start in Loss to Giants
Los Angeles Dodgers' offense unable to get it going in 3-1 loss to the San Francisco Giants.
The offense did not travel with the Los Angeles Dodgers to the Bay Area. After scoring 28 runs in their four-game series in Colorado, the Dodgers' offense mustered just one run in a 3-1 loss to the San Francisco Giants . Yoshinobu Yamamoto took the bump for the Dodgers and ran into some trouble early.
The Giants' offense, which hasn't produced much throughout the first 22 games of the season, jumped on Yamamoto early in the first inning for three runs on four hits. There were also plenty of defensive blunders that highlighted the first inning. One in particular was a close call collision between center fielder Alex Call and left fielder Teoscar Hernández.
The two seemed to be OK after the bump and, somehow, Call stuck with the catch for out No. 1. Alex Call and Teoscar Hernández collide while recording the first out of the inning against the San Francisco Giants.
