The Chicago Sky-Reese drama traces back to that Chicago Tribune interview where Reese went all out.
“I’m not settling for the same s—t we did this year,” she said. However, that interview included some personal shots towards the injured Courtney Vandersloot as well. “We can’t rely on Courtney to come back at the age that she’s at,” Reese said.
“I know she’ll be a great asset for us, but we can’t rely on that. ” Now, the 37-year-old veteran has revealed her feelings regarding this interview. After Reese’s demand for “great players,” Vandersloot came out with a subtle response.
“Contrary to what people say or think, my age is absolutely not a factor. I am coming back,” the Vandersloot said. “I’m gonna come back better than ever because that’s what I’ve done.
I’ve put myself in the position to come back and compete at this age. ” Well, Vandersloot has further admitted to feeling hurt because of Reese’s statements. “I’ll say it didn’t feel good,” Vandersloot told the Chicago Tribune.
