The 19-year-old, who plays as a midfielder for Denmark's FC Midtjylland, was stabbed over the weekend, the team announced in a Tuesday, April 21, statement on its website.
Djabi was seriously injured and underwent two surgeries, the team said. Djabi was then placed in a medically induced coma. He has woken up and is currently โdoing well" following the surgeries, the team explained.
