Clutch Player of the Year vote: All the rankings ever

Yahoo Sports

With Shai Gilgeous-Alexander winning the fourth ever Clutch Player of the Year award, HoopsHype tallied all the players who received votes for the award.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is this year's Clutch Player of the Year, and it really shouldn't be surprising. Considering how he has steadily become one of the most dangerous guards in close games, it was only a matter of time. Like Michael Jordan , Stephen Curry and even Kobe Bryant , Gilgeous-Alexander has gotten to the point where it just feels inevitable that he will knock down certain shots that close out the game for the Thunder.

As we covered a few weeks ago , the defending champions are in the midst of one of the most clutch seasons in recent memory. Oklahoma City's point differential of +11. 1 is the best in the league, which makes Gilgeous-Alexander's ability to deliver in those fewer high-leverage moments all the more impressive.

It really is a shame that this award is only in its fourth season, as decades of data could give us a diverse amount of players who were considered clutch in their era. Below, we've ranked all players who have received Clutch Player of the Year votes since the award's inaugural season, 2022-23. 1.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander: Four seasons receiving votes 1st: 2026 3rd: 2024 7th: 2023 8th: 2025 2. Jalen Brunson: Three seasons 1st: 2025 4th: 2023 5th: 2024 3. Stephen Curry: Three seasons 1st: 2024 5th: 2025 9th: 2023 4.
