Five star QB could be best signing of Penn State's 2027 class
Penn State football is on the verge of potentially landing five-star quarterback Will Mencl, who commits tomorrow.
While the Nittany Lions have had a successful past weekend on the recruiting trail, they still have not yet added the highly coveted five-star that could take them over the top. That could all change soon should Will Mencl sign with the Blue and White. While Mencl had been a four-star for most of the cycle, just ahead of his commitment date, set for Wednesday evening, Rivals changed his ranking to five stars.
This adds more intrigue to the Nittany Lions' pursuit of his signature. Not only is the young QB highly coveted by several schools, but he could also be Penn State's first signing in the class on the offensive side of the ball. While some might say they may not need more depth in the QB room, Mencl's unique traits stand out on tape.
