com/wAsJo1f0RJ — Travis Branham (@TravisBranham_) April 21, 2026 The writing was on the wall when Blackwell revealed he was cancelling his upcoming visit with Louisville . The All-B1G guard had seen everything he needed to with the Blue Devils and had made his decision. Duke will once again be a National Champion contender as head coach Jon Scheyer continues to keep the Blue Devils in the mix as one of the top teams in the nation.

Losing Blackwell definitely stings, especially since there was a chance he would go straight to the NBA. After testing the waters, Blackwell decided one more year at the collegiate level would benefit him the most. Knowing Blackwell wanted to be on a contender, he sure accomplished that mission by linking up with Scheyer and company.
