The 36-year-old tight end decided to return for a 14th season after contemplating retirement in the offseason.
The Kansas City Chiefs star will likely go down as the greatest tight end of all time when he retires, holding major postseason records for tight ends in career receptions and 100-yard games along with most consecutive 1,000-yard seasons (seven) and the most receiving yards by a tight end in a single season (1,416). Kelce signed a three-year, $57. 7 million deal to remain with the Chiefs.
