Texas A&M's 2026 spring season officially ended after Saturday's Maroon & White Game, as the offseason is underway over the next three months before the Aggies take the practice field in early August for fall camp. During the live broadcast, several newcomers from the transfer portal and 2026 signing class jumped off the page, especially safety Tawfiq Byard and edge rusher Anto Saka. From a purely talent perspective, third-year coach Mike Elko and his staff aren't worried about competing in the SEC, but making it back to the College Football Playoff for the second straight season is a whole other challenge, requiring discipline and consistent physicality late in the season, as road games against LSU, Missouri, Alabama, South Carolina, and Oklahoma loom large.
