Kentucky WBB will get back a senior guard for next season
The Kentucky Wildcats women's basketball team got some good news on Tuesday, with the announcement that they'll get a senior guard back.
The Kentucky Wildcats women's basketball team made it all the way to the Sweet 16 this season, a deeper run than they've made in quite some time. They're also poised to be even better next year with the addition of some very talented freshmen, and key transfer portal additions. All-SEC center Clara Strack will also return , and on Tuesday, guard Asia Boone announced she will be back as well.
Boone came to Kentucky during last year's offseason after playing at Liberty for her first two seasons. She quickly became a key starter for them, but decided to transfer after her sophomore year, and landed with the Wildcats and Kenny Brooks. In her first season in Lexington, she was an important part of the Wildcats' success.
She averaged 10. 1 points, 2. 7 rebounds, and 2.
3 assists per game while making 36% of her three-point attempts. Whether starting, or coming off the bench, she made a lot of big plays and big shots. Boone will once again be a key player for Kentucky.
