David Neres back at Napoli training camp 85 days after surgery
David Neres back at Napoli training camp 85 days after surgery David Neres has returned to the Napoli training ground almost three months after ankle surgery, as they hope to have him playing by the end of the season. The attacking winger had been one of the best performing players for the Partenopei when he sustained the injury during the match against Parma on January 14. It proved to be more serious than at first thought, and he went under the knife at a clinic in London later that month.

The hope is that he will be available to play again before the end of the season, although so much depends on his recovery and what is at stake for Napoli.
While they had been in the Scudetto race, they are now nervously looking over their shoulders to secure a top four finish. Neres had contributed six goals and four assists in 25 competitive appearances for Napoli this season before his injury.
