Reports: Fitness influencer identified in Ironman death in Texas

A Brazilian fitness influencer and athlete was identified as the woman who drowned in Texas during the Ironman Triathlon over the weekend. Mara Flávia Araújo, 38, died while participating in the swimming portion of the event in the Woodlands near Houston on April 18, according to several news outlets, i ncluding FOX 26 in Houston. The Montgomery County Medical Examiner's Office website also reported the death of Mara Araújo on April 18.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the drowning in a Facebook post on Saturday and said that detectives were investigating the drowning "per normal protocols.
