Will Kevin Durant play tonight vs. Lakers in Game 2 with knee injury?
Kevin Durant missed Game 1 of the Rockets vs. Lakers 2026 NBA playoffs series. Will he be in for Game 2?
The Houston Rockets definitely missed Kevin Durant in Game 1 of their opening-round NBA playoffs series against the Los Angeles Lakers, but it seemed like it was risky to play KD with the knee contusion he suffered in practice earlier last week. So: Will he play in Game 2 on Tuesday night? Here's the latest as of Tuesday morning: ESPN's Shams Charania said on Monday that Durant's status is "up in the air" and that it's a deep patellar tendon bruise that has caused all sorts of issues for him.
There's optimism that he could return, but we'll see if that leads to a Game 2 apperarance. Video from practice shows that he's moving better: Kevin Durant is here getting shots up after Rockets practice today in LA. Looks like he's got some type of tape on his right knee.
Appears to be moving around much better than he was a few nights ago. pic. twitter.
