It has been a busy few days for some of USC’s players, visiting several notable Southern California landmarks

Among major college football programs, USC is one of only a small handful that is located in a major city. While that can sometimes have its drawbacks—such as making it more difficult to draw fans—it also means that the Trojans have access to opportunities that other schools do not. This has been on full display over the past few days, with the Trojans taking two notable Southern California field trips.

First, last week, some of USC’s players and coaches visited Netflix’s creative offices for a movie premiere. During the trip, they got to meet some notable celebrities, including Adam Sandler. Then, on Sunday, some of the Trojans attended the Los Angeles Angels vs.

San Diego Padres game at Angel Stadium . Before the game, USC running back King Miller threw out the ceremonial first pitch . (Given how the baseball team’s pitching staff fared over the weekend , perhaps they could have used him).

USC seems to be clearly embracing its location in the heart of Los Angeles as a recruiting and marketing tactic. Based on the talent that the Trojans are bringing in , it is hard to argue with the results. This article originally appeared on Trojans Wire: USC football visits Netflix, Angels game
