The Flyers head back to Philadelphia with a 2-0 series lead after securing 3-0 victory over the Penguins in Game 2 of a first round matchup at PPG PAINTS Arena in Pittsburgh on April 20. After a scoreless first period, the Flyers got on the scoreboard with a goal by rookie Porter Martone ā second of the series for the 19-year-old winger.
Soon after, Philadelphia scored a shorthanded goal by forward Garnet Hathaway on a feed from winger Owen Tippett. In the third, Flyers center Luke Glendening capped off the victory with an empty-net goal. With the game in hand, the last minute plus of play included a scrum between the two teams along with the ejection of Penguins players Kris Letang and Anthony Mantha each receiving 10-minute misconduct penalties.
