Inter unlikely to budge from €70m valuation for Alessandro Bastoni As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport , Inter are unlikely to accept anything less than an offer in the region of €70 million for their star defender Alessandro Bastoni. The 27-year-old has been a stalwart at the back for the Nerazzurri and is currently one of their most valuable assets. He’s also heavily linked with a move away, with the club bracing themselves for a significant defensive rebuild in the summer.

Veteran defenders Francesco Acerbi, Stefan de Vrij, and Matteo Darmian are on their way out of San Siro with their contracts running out, with Denzel Dumfries another player heavily linked with a move away this summer. Barcelona are the side most heavily linked with Bastoni, but their persistent financial challenges make meeting Inter’s €70m valuation unlikely. Inter are also unlikely to budge from their stance and have plenty of negotiating power going into the summer, given the Italy international has two more years remaining on his €10.

19m-per-year contract, which also has no release clause. The player has also shown no interest in pushing for an exit, which further strengthens Inter’s position. Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio has made the club’s stance very clear.

“Bastoni has a contract with Inter and to date there is nothing that suggests his future is far from here. “I don’t know what they say about him in Spain, I know that we are happy with Alessandro, with what he gave to this club and I’m sure he will continue to give us so much more. If they have an interest in him, they know what phone numbers to call.
