OGC Nice co-president confirms Jérémie Boga and Terem Moffi will not return
OGC Nice co-president confirms Jérémie Boga and Terem Moffi will not return Terem Moffi and Jérémie Boga left OGC Nice in acrimonious circumstances during the January transfer window. Following the violent scenes outside the club’s training ground back in November, the pair had sought to terminate their contracts and were placed on sick leave in the wake of the incident. Both players ultimately left on loan deals.
Boga left to join Juventus, and Moffi left for FC Porto. Even if those loan deals are not made permanent, Nice’s co-president, Maurice Cohen, has told Ici Azur that the pair do not have a future at the Allianz Riviera. Juventus want to make Boga loan permanent “They won’t return to Nice, whether their buy options are triggered or not,” said Cohen, who joined the club back in December.
Fabrizio Romano understands that Juventus will trigger the €5m buy clause included in Boga’s loan deal. The Ivorian is keen on remaining at the Italian giant. Porto also have a buy option, but it is less clear whether the Portuguese side intend on triggering it.
