The win is Dunlap’s 14th straight and moves the Eagles into sole possession of first place in the Mid-Illini Conference. Ryder Rennette had a two-run triple for the Eagles (15-3, 5-0). RJ Duncheon struck out 13 hitters for East Peoria (11-5, 4-1).
Other baseball winners Monday included Morton, Washington, Canton, Normal West, Tremont and Peoria Christian. In softball, Pekin’s Jaeleigh Decker belted a two-run homer in the 11th inning as the Dragons outlast East Peoria, 3-2, at EastSide Centre. Copyright 2026 Nexstar Media, Inc.
