Prep roundup: Okemos, Laingsburg record baseball sweeps

BASEBALL OKEMOS 3, EAST LANSING 1 / OKEMOS 12, EAST LANSING 2 Sebastian Blair pitched a complete game with eight strikeouts in game one to help the Wolves notch a pair of CAAC Blue wins over East Lansing. Keagan Noble had a big game two, going 3-for-4 with two doubles, a grand slam and five RBI and Carter Haremski and Henry Schnelker each tacked on two hits for Okemos. Michigan State commit Paul VanDam went 1-for-3 with an RBI for the Trojans.
LAINGBSURG 11, SARANAC 4 / LAINGSBURG 10, SARANAC 2 Paxton Rodriguez went 8-for-9 and five runs scored and drove in three while helping the Wolfpack sweep Saranac in a CMAC doubleheader. Everett Rodriguez drove in two runs in the opener and went 3-for-4 with an RBI in a finale that also featured Liam Esch driving in three runs for Laingsburg. PORTLAND ST.

PATRICK 10, PERRY 0 Logan Howe drove in seven runs while contributing to the Shamrocks sweeping Perry in a CMAC doubleheader Jerryd Scheurer went 3-for-4 with three RBI and TJ Chamberlain drove in three runs in the three-inning 15-0 victory. OWOSSO 6, CLIO 0 / CLIO 5, OWOSSO 4 Eden Ackley racked up five hits to help the Trojans split the Flint Metro League double-header with Clio.
Jack Sydow picked up the win in game one and Cy Thompson and Jackson Valasek each chipped in two hits for Owosso. LESLIE 1, ANN ARBOR GABRIEL RICHARD 0 Easton Hawkins led the Blackhawks picking up the win and went 2-for-3 with the lone RBI in a win over Ann Arbor Gabriel Richard. Hunter Bradford and Joel Cranmore each grabbed a triple for Leslie.
