🥎GAME OF THE DAY Nethania Figueroa hit the game-tying home run in the seventh and three batters later, Trinity Provencher came through with a walk-off double that gave the Townies a 4-3 win over Prout. Prout scrapped up one run in the first and after East Providence tied the score, scored the go-ahead run in the fourth on a Frankie Smith bunt single before getting some insurance on an RI single by Sara Slitt in the fifth. Down to their last at-bat, the Townies rallied in the bottom of the seventh.
Maura Roche hit a one-out double to spark things and that was followed by Figueroa’s titanic shot to left. With two outs, Audrey Bernard hit a single and Provencher came through with a double to left that plated pinch-runner Bella Paneto with the game-winning run. Provencher had two hits, drove in one and scored another and Figueroa’s two RBI led the team.
Cassandra Dulude threw three innings of one-run, three-hit relief and picked up the win. Mia Boyajian had two hits and scored one run in the loss. Lily Sheehan was solid in the circle in the loss, striking out 11.
