LSU Tigers Land Commitment From Four-Star WR Braylon Calais
The LSU Tigers secured a promising four-star athlete, Braylon Calais, boosting their receiver corps with a powerful, prototype prospect.
The LSU Tigers continue to make the future of their wide receiver room look better, as they have now landed a commitment from a four-star out of Louisiana. Braylon Calais, out of Cecillia High School in Carencro, Louisiana, committed to the Tigers on Monday afternoon . The 247Sports composite rankings have him rated as the No.
187-rated player in the nation, the eighth-ranked athlete and the sixth player in the state of Louisiana. He's right behind fellow LSU commit Peyton Houston. Calais is listed as an athlete, but he's most likely going to be a wideout.
He stands at 6-foot-2, 200 pounds, which is a very exciting build for a receiver. It certainly brings ideas of someone like Deebo Samuel or AJ Brown. That power is a matchup nightmare.
Because of his size, though, and the reason he's listed as an athlete, some believe that he would be better off becoming a defensive back. He plays basketball in high school, too, showing off his athleticism. It's a great get for the Tigers, too, because it's a prototype that they don't have a lot of for the future.
