Eagles have shown consistent interest in LSU linebacker Harold Perkins

Former LSU standout Harold Perkins’ versatility and speed continues to draw attention from the Eagles.

The Philadelphia Eagles aren't just doing their homework. They're circling names. Some have surfaced more often than others.

One that continues to do so belongs to Harold Perkins Jr. According to Aaron Wilson, Philadelphia has maintained consistent contact with the former LSU Tigers standout throughout the predraft process, this after their talk at the NFL Combine . That includes formal meetings and continued check-ins as teams finalize their boards.

He has conducted Zoom interviews with several teams, including multiple with the hometown Texans, who have displayed interest in Perkins throughout the draft process, in addition to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers visited several teams, including the Pittsburgh Steelers and Los Angeles Chargers and has met formally with the New Orleans Saints, Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles at the NFL scouting combine. The Green Bay Packers, Eagles, Chargers, Washington Commanders Steelers, New England Patriots, Buccaneers and Las Vegas Raiders have shown consistent interest in Perkins throughout the draft process. In a season filled with smoke screens and misdirection, that kind of sustained interest tends to mean something.

Perkins isn’t a traditional evaluation. He’s a projection. At 6-foot-1 and around 220 pounds, he doesn’t fit neatly into one positional box, but that’s also what makes him intriguing.
