Browns NFL Draft: Shedeur Sanders' dad has a favorite wide receiver
Publicly lobbying for a former teammate of Browns QB Shedeur Sanders, Deion Sanders plants his flag on Jordyn Tyson ahead of the NFL Draft
The Cleveland Browns have a big decision to make in the coming days as the 2026 NFL Draft nears. The obvious needs on their roster are at the wide receiver and offensive tackle positions, as the team could look to build around quarterback Shedeur Sanders, Deshaun Watson, or whoever starts Week 1. They could even go best player available, as they are more than one year away from competitive football.
As the draft nears, however, Deion Sanders has opinions on who the team should take, planting his flag on a former teammate of Sanders at Colorado. Taking to X , Sanders said, "Jordyn Tyson is different. " Holding a private workout that the Browns were in attendance for , it sure seems like Tyson is back on the menu in the top 15 of the NFL Draft.
Jordyn Tyson is Different ā COACH PRIME (@DeionSanders) April 20, 2026 Does Tyson to the Browns make sense? Tyson is a top receiver in the class. He is seen as the best receiver in the class by some analysts, including Daft on Draft's Cory Kinnan.
In his draft guide , Tyson was not only ranked as the top receiver but as the sixth-best player in the class. Tyson, of course, started his college career at Colorado, playing under Sanders and catching passes from the current Browns quarterback. He racked up 470 yards and four touchdowns on 22 catches that season from Sanders before transferring to Arizona State.
