Chicago Bears quarterback Caleb Williams sounded off on the DJ Moore trade for the first time.

The Chicago Bears lost some impactful veterans this offseason, whether it's Pro Bowl center Drew Dalman shockingly retiring, losing Kevin Byard and Jaquan Brisker to free agency or releasing linebacker Tremaine Edmunds. Chicago also traded wide receiver DJ Moore to the Buffalo Bills, landing a second-round pick in the process. There were questions about Moore's future with the Bears heading into the offseason following the worst statistical season of his career, as he took a backseat amid a myriad of weapons in the passing game.

Moore totaled 50 receptions for 862 yards and six touchdowns. While the numbers didn't show it, he proved to be key down the stretch, especially in Chicago's two wins over the Green Bay Packers, including catching the game-winning touchdown in overtime in Week 16. For the first time since the trade, quarterback Caleb Williams sounded off on the Moore trade, where he expressed his disappointment from a personal aspect, but he also understands that it's just business.

"Heโ€™s a pro. Heโ€™s been that since heโ€™s been in the league," Williams said, via Chris Emma . "On the football side of it, obviously, youโ€™re going to miss him being out there making plays for you, for me, for the team.
