Now it's time for readers and fans to get behind a new set of athletes this week, by voting as much as you like until the poll closes at noon on Thursday, April 23. Here are the nominees: Addy Applegate, Owen Valley softball Junior outfielder provided a burst of power as the Patriots went 2-2 last week, going 5-for-13 with two homers, a double, a triple, four runs scored and five RBIs against White River Valley, Linton, Brown County and South Putnam. Luke Arnett, South baseball Had a monster week at the plate, starting with a 4-for-4, six-RBI game in a 21-4 romp over Bedford North Lawrence.

Ellie Barada, South girls track Competed against the state's best milers at the Franklin Central Showcase, posting a 4:49.
