2026 NFL draft: Arizona Cardinals have weighty voice for Jeremiyah Love

Yahoo Sports

Todd McShay keeps hearing how the Cardinals have someone important pushing for running back Jeremiyah Love.

The Arizona Cardinals are at the center of the discussion with the 2026 NFL draft. They have the third overall pick in the draft, they want to move back and they also seemingly want to draft quarterback Ty Simpson. If they aren't able to trade out of the third pick, though, things could get interesting.

Draft analyst Todd McShay spoke about the Cardinals on the latest episode of his podcast . "I've been saying all along there's a voice on the Cardinals pushing for (Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah) Love," he said. "It's been over a month.

And I'm hearing that voice carries more weight than maybe I thought. "I'm told if Arizona sticks, it's Jeremiah Love. " He also said that no team in the top 10 of the draft wants to move back as much as the Cardinals do.

Love might be the best player in the draft, but he would create redundancy in the running back room. The Cardinals brought back James Conner and Trey Benson. They signed Tyler Allgeier.
