After not playing at all last season, wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. appears to be close to making an NFL comeback. According to SNY’s Connor Hughes, Beckham, who did not play at all last season, worked out for the New York Giants on Monday morning.
The New York Post’s Ryan Dunleavy adds that Beckham then took a physical after the workout. Hughes notes that a source told him “nothing is happening right now,” but the simple fact that the former All-Pro is doing all that suggests a reunion is at least close. Of course, Beckham was a first-round pick of the Giants back in 2014 and rose to superstardom with Big Blue.
He secured AP Offensive Rookie of the Year, three Pro Bowls and two second-team All-Pro nods over his first three seasons in the NFL and was one of the league’s best players at his position. After five seasons with the Giants, Beckham was traded to the Cleveland Browns in 2019, where he posted a single 1,000-yard season before his career declined. Odell Beckham Jr.
