Jimmy Garoppolo considering retirement over Rams
The Rams may be in more trouble than they thought at backup QB

If the Rams were dragging their heels to make a decision about the backup quarterback position because they had been assuming Garoppolo would re-sign, L. A. could be left scrambling for an option behind Matthew Stafford with few suitable players remaining.
This is unless the team really does want to get Ty Simpson in the draft this week , and Garoppolo knows it so he’s going to sit this out for a while until another opportunity arises. #Rams free agent QB Jimmy Garoppolo, considered their top option as backup QB, is considering retirement, sources say.
