The Los Angeles Rams could lose out on another top option at backup quarterback . According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, free-agent QB Jimmy Garoppolo is considering retirement. He’s played 12 years in the league and made more than $156 million, and is now weighing whether he wants to continue playing at the age of 34.
Garoppolo has been the Rams’ backup quarterback behind Matthew Stafford for the last two years. In that game, he threw for 334 yards and two touchdowns with only one interception, coming up just short in the season finale against the Seahawks.
