Another big update on Aaron Rodgers and the Steelers QB situation

•Sky F1

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Aaron Rodgers won't be signing with the Steelers anytime soon and Will Howard will be QB1.

The big news keeps coming for the Pittsburgh Steelers and their quarterback position. First NFL Network reporter Tom Pelissero reported that there was no chance free-agent quarterback Aaron Rodgers would be signing with the Steelers before the start of the 2026 NFL draft. Now, ESPN NFL reporter Adam Schefter is not only corroborating Pelissero's report but taking it a step further as far as the quarterback position goes.

According to Schefter, not only will Rodgers not be there, but it will be second-year quarterback Will Howard listed at the No. 1 quarterback. Schefter made no mention of veteran quarterback Mason Rudolph.

The #Steelers have not received word from Aaron Rodgers on his future and there is no expectation of a final decision prior to the NFL Draft, per me and @TomPelissero . When minicamp begins today under new coach Mike McCarthy, Will Howard will be QB1. pic.
