Texans provide slight update on WR Tank Dell during voluntary workouts

•Sky F1

Tank Dell is expected to be good to go in 2026. When? That still remains the question for the Houston Texans and right now might not have an answer.

Right now, the Houston Texans don't have an exact timeline for when star receiver Tank Dell will be cleared for contact, thus inching him closer to a return to the gridiron. It's been frustrating to see the once superstar talent deal with a long recovery. Still, at least Monday provided a glimmer of hope that his time on the mend could be reaching its end.

The Texans ' star No. 2 pass-catcher was seen stretching and working out during the first day of voluntary workouts over in the bubble by Reliant Stadium. The fourth-year pro has been recovering from a knee injury suffered in the regular-season loss to Kansas City in December of 2024.

Earlier this offseason, Texans coach DeMeco Ryans told reporters at the annual league meetings in Phoenix that Dell was "grinding," but he didn't know when he would be back for on-field drills. Initially, that seemed to only qualify when asked about OTAs later on next month. Oh hey @Tankdell4 šŸ‘‹ pic.

When asked for another update on speedy wideout, general manager Nick Caserio's left the return date somewhat open-ended.
