The Eagles have a couple players who should hear their names called over the weekend, and a handful more who could sneak in or at the very least quickly signed as free agents.
BC has seen players participate in all of the pre-draft hoopla from the Senior Bowl to the Combine, finishing up with a well represented Pro Day at Fish Field House. Today, we take a last look at defensive end Quintayvious Hutchins. Year: Fifth Year Senior, Bessemer, Alabama Position : EDGE Measurables : 6-4, 265 lbs Draft Projection: Day 3 / UDFA Hutchins has had a productive last two years on the Heights and was team captain this past season.
Over the past two seasons, he’s had 67 tackles and 9 TFLs with 5. 5 sacks. The Alabama native doesn’t have the most starting experience taking a backseat his first few seasons, he still has a well-developed game.
This draft season, he had a strong week of practices at the Senior Bowl but left a little more to be desired at the NFL Combine. He mentioned he felt sore during the Combine, so he had a chance to end with some positive momentum at BC’s Pro Day. Unfortunately he only saw minor improvements, but did get a more unique interaction.
With most NFL teams in attendance, Patriots Head Coach Mike Vrabel jumped into the ring with Q during his workout testing his hand placement and strength. It’s definitely an area Hutchins needs to improve, but he has a good get off and bend. Quintayvious Hutchins easy disengage to make a play behind the line pic.
