3 realistic trades Patriots can offer Eagles to seal A.J. Brown deal
The Patriots are the expected landing spot for A. J. Brown this offseason.
Here are three realistic trades they could offer the Eagles.
There has been speculation throughout the offseason on the possibility of Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A. J. Brown being traded to the New England Patriots .
On Monday, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that everything is still in play for that deal to happen, and the Patriots remain the likeliest destination for the three-time All-Pro wide receiver. The trade is expected to come on or after June 1, when the Eagles can avoid a $40 million dead cap hit. Schefter wrote: "The Eagles remain open to trading Brown, the Patriots remain highly interested in acquiring the star receiver, and conversations are expected to resume shortly on or before June 1, probably culminating in a deal, per league sources.
" What would a deal between the Patriots and Eagles potentially look like? It's hard to envision the Patriots shipping a first-round draft pick to Philadelphia. The 2027 NFL Draft is expected to be deep with talent, and the Patriots will probably want to hang on to their top pick.
