Nebraska baseball (31-9, 15-3) closed out its series with No. 12 USC (30-11, 13-8) on Sunday afternoon. The Huskers capped off the three-game stretch with another run-rule victory, winning 16-6 over the Trojans for their first ranked sweep since 2015 .
The weekend sweep also set a program record for the largest attendance for a Big Ten home series, with 21,383 total fans across the three games. Nebraska got the win after trailing 5-2 heading into the bottom of the second, outscoring USC 14-1 from there. The Huskers closed the door in the sixth, tallying six runs to go up 15-6.
The team posted 14 hits and two errors, while USC earned 10 hits and two errors. Drew Grego and Mac Moyer each batted 2-for-5, blasted a home run and totaled four RBIs. Moyer hit a three-run home run in the fourth, and Grego delivered a grand slam in the sixth.
Dylan Carey also hit a home run, a solo shot, finished 4-for-5 with two RBIs and fell a triple shy of a cycle. Case Sanderson finished 2-for-4, earning two RBIs and two walks. Trey Fikes hit 2-for-4 and scored twice.
