The Philadelphia Eagles kick off their offseason program Monday at the Jefferson Health Training Center, where head coach Nick Sirianni will welcome back fresh faces on the roster and address tremendous coaching staff changes after moving on from Kevin Patullo and Jeff Stoutland. Philadelphia is in the midst of a potentially franchise-altering offseason , during which general manager Howie Roseman has made some big moves as he continues to build a contending roster. That included the decision to sign Jordan Davis to a three-year, $78 million contract extension.
There are plenty of new faces on the roster who will also have a chance to build rapport with their teammates and learn their respective schemes. With Philadelphia kicking off the first phase of its offseason program, it won't include any on-field activity. Here's a breakdown of each phase of the Eagles' offseason program.
Phase One The Eagles kick off their offseason program on April 20. Per the NFL's CBA, the first two weeks of the offseason program will be limited to strength and conditioning and physical rehabilitation. Phase Two The next three weeks of the offseason program will consist of on-field workouts, which may include "individual player instruction and drills and team practices conducted on a 'separates' basis.
" There are "no live contact or offense vs. defense drills" permitted during this time. Phase Three The final four weeks of the program may consist of a total of 10 organized team activities (OTAs) practices.
